Martens Media

Martens Africa is committed to promoting the right to and use of information to create a society that has equitable access to opportunities and information.

Life issues in the third world receive very little attention in the Western media, and it was therefore necessary to identify strategies to keep the world informed. A Media Desk was therefore established within Martens Africa to harness the competences of its journalist-members to give visibility to African issues of concern to the world. Africa has a story –the untold story.

Our challenge is to ensure that information on specific issues is disseminated widely to enable diverse stakeholders including communities, governments and non-governmental multi-partner groups to make informed decisions. The founder of Martens Africa is an experienced US-based journalist.
